Customer Question

I purchased a 2002 porsche boxster last year, but there was only one key. The one I have only has a small plastic cap on the top of the key with a little flashlight (that doesn't work). I have been told all kinds of contradicting info... can you tell me if I can have another key blade cut and expet it to work (because this one does not appear to have anything but the battery for the light and the actual blade itself in that small cap)?

No, you need to get an immobilizer key. The chip is built into the blade of the key at the base.
