Customer Question

06 Cayenne, just had rear tires & front brakes replaced & 4 wheel alignment. On drive home PSM light flickering and brakes grabbing intermittently above 30 MPH causing car to shutter. Ideas?

Hello I'd say that the steering angle sensor needs recalibrating as this can easily be upset by a 4 wheel alignment as the stabilty control module needs to see the sensor sat at zero with the steering straight ahead quite often when the alignment is done the steering angle isn't quite at zero when it should be resetting the sensor requires the dealer level diagnostic tool I'm afraid so this will need a porche specialist or dealership to set it up

Thx Matt! Is there anything that could have been damaged during the tire or rotor/brake change that could yield the same symptoms?

Possibly the Tyre pressure system ( if fitted) or the wheel speed sensors as these are the primary control sensor - however you'd normally get an ABS light on all the time for these
