Customer Question

We are trying to take down our intex pool and the pool is sticking to the metal supports. I believe the heat from the sun has stuck the plastic pool onto the metal supports. Any ideas how to unstick the pool without cutting it up. We want to put it up next year.
JA: Who manufactured the pool?
Customer: Isn't Intex the manurfacturer?
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes, we are in the middle of it.

Hi. I would try to use a air dryer to make the metal expend a bit (without heating too much as to damage the pool material. Alternatively, i would try to rub the internal side of the pool with ice cube as most of the time gum is less sticky once frozen. Heating the pool material from the indide may also help to peel it from the post. To avoid the same problem in the future, using a cellophane between the two may prevent that (using oil over time can degrade some membrane, but wax could work also).

Forget it we figured it out ourselves. Heat gun, long piece of wood with round edge and large kitchen service spoon.

Glad that you got it detached.
