Customer Question

My watkins silentflo 5000 pumps leaks. There is a hole where the water comes from. My son in law says the pumps needs to be replaced due to this means there is a pumping problem. It is an overflow to prevent other problems if there is a pump problem. Sounds good. Just checking before ordering pump.
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: I took the pump off due to leaking a month ago. just now getting around to replacing. It leaked for maybe 2 weeks before taking it off. It does cause a noticeable loss of water that had never happened before.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes

In the case of repairing it you would have to deal with down time and parts and labor could make it not cost effective to repair
