Customer Question

FNS 24 pool filter lid blew open, replaced metal band and top o ring and still leaked water out of lid. Did not notice pressure, but pool had been operating great up until this running at 10 psi with clean grids. Thought filter lid may be warped. 20 year old filter. Replaced filter with new FNS PLUS 24, added DE and no leaks but pool filter psi bounces between 30-35 and no water out of return jets. Pump primes and backwash works, push-pull valve working. Water flow good out of pressure valve when pump is priming, however when valve is opened after running and pump off, not much air releasing.

if pressure is bouncing - is pump surging? Have you checked for return suction leak?

Does filter empty during shut down?
