I have a Pentair Easy Touch (Upgrade from original Compool).

Customer Question

I have a Pentair Easy Touch (Upgrade from original Compool). The IntelliChlor and the auxiliary pump have suddenly quit working. The other functions in my pool are working as they should and as scheduled. I have determined that no electricity is getting to the auxiliary pump motor. Wh have had storms in the area recently, I looked at fuses and they appear ok.
Any ideas?

Lightning storms can not only damage
The breaker it can also damage the wiring.l
If you are sure the breaker is good
and the proper voltage is leaving toward
The pump check the connections and any
places along the wire that looks damaged.
Usually near a ground source ( like touching a grounded copper pipe)
there might be a burned spot.
if the connections and the wire are good replace the breaker. Customer

A damaged flow sensor in front of this pump
could also be the problem

I do not detect any current inside control box where pump wires connect. Could I have a mother board problem that only effects certain functions (i.e. aux. pump and chlorinator)?
Expert:  Machinc replied 2 years ago.
If you have current into the board
Then yes the board would be the problem.
Of course current would only be present
where you tested when the board is calling on the
pump to operate.

Sometines as expensive as boards are
it is worth the ecpense of having a professional
replace the board.
Suppliers often will not warranty a board
that is not professionalky installed.
