It is difficult to judge a technicians work
without knowing exactky what
their diagnosis is.
That said I think you have some genuine
The statement "your "hard drive"
is bad ,you need a new pump"
The control (computer) mounted on the pump
is replacable without reolacing the pump.'
and the pump is replacable without replacing
the control panel
If they did not say the pump and motor
are bad and the trouble is the "hard drive"
Only the control would need replacing.
Perhaps he said the "pump drive " is bad.
This is in the pump/ motor area and could require
replacement of the pump.
In all fairness to the original Technician
a phone call to them to get clarification
would not be out of line. This dhould clear uo
any misunderstanding .
After the call if you are still not sure which part
is bad you should have another company
send someone out for a second opinion.
