Have a Jandy LRZ natural gas pool heater that will not fire?

Customer Question

Have a Jandy LRZ natural gas pool heater that will not fire? Filter has been back washed, flow rates are good. We are able to get a strong pilot but when turned on - we get about a 30 second burn before it goes out and takes the pilot with it and we are unable to repeat this sequence for some time (over an hour)?

Does your tech have any tattletale clips t put on the safetys?
You clip this on and when a safety trips it flags the fault.
Then when you return just look for the tripped tattletale.
Check with your tech as these are cheap and easy to install and locates the issue for you.
