VerifiedGood Afternoon, my name is ***** ***** ill be helping you, so sorry to hear about the issues we have here on the Pontiac here, in my opinion loss of communications is on the hardest to diagnose on a vehicle. in your case we would need to check to make sure that theres no wiring damage to the computer data lines that all the modules use to communicate between themselves. theres 3 areas where damage usually happens, either the connector for the PCM the connector for the instrument panel and also the connector at the bottom of the fuse box under the hood, that last one is one of the most common to get damage and cause a loss of communications, keep me posted on what we find or if we have any further questions on this here, but i do highly recommend we get this fixed at a shop since dealing with these wiring issues can be a handful, let me know if you have any further questions, im here to help!
hello! here is that wiring diagram that shows how the PCM is wired up, black/white is ground and orange wire is power from the battery.
did we do the relearn using a scan tool? thats the procedure i use i just follow the on board prompts
