VerifiedHello, my name is James. I will be glad to help you with issue. I am glad to hear you have it in the shop having the carburetor rebuilt. It sounds like it is starving for fuel at higher temperatures. You also might look at replacing the fuel pump and checking the fuel cap (it may not be venting properly). If you still have the issue after all the repairs are done, I have an old school fix that just might work here. Place a couple of wooden clothes pins (yes, I said clothes pins) on the steel fuel line going from the pump to the carb. They will act as heatsinks and draw the heat away from the fuel line so the fuel will not vaporize.
