I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP car won't start no

Customer Question
Hi I have a...

Hi I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP car won't start no crank I got her started once today my battery is okay just wondering if there's a starter relay I left at the diagram and I didn't find one so I'm not sure if it's

Mechanic's Assistant: How many miles are on the car? How old is the battery?

It's only 80 thousand kilometers on it and the battery is 2 years old

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Prix yourself? What have you tried so far?

Well I was going to try to tap the starter with my GoPro bar but I seen I think it's underneath the car I don't have a jack or have a jack but I don't have blocks to put it on so I can't really get to it I believe there's a way I could get to it from the top of the car which I'm not sure

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I also know is last night I went to move my car over for my landlord and all the lights come on I tried the to see if the lights are Dim when I start to like have a crank and the lights dim dim or the headlights those are the only things I've tried how to bypass I was going to try it but I don't know what relay is what

There is no diagram. The common causes would be starter, transmission position switch, or ignition switch. You will want to start by testing power going to starter, both wires should have voltage if so replace starter. If not test voltage going into/leaving transmission position switch. If voltage is going into switch but not out then replace transmission position switch. If no power going into switch then test power at ignition switch. If power going into ignition switch but not out replace. Here is a wiring diagram to help with testing. My goal is to provide 5 star service so please let me know if you have any questions, thanks.

I meant to say there is no relay, not diagram.
