Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the coolant? Have you checked for a leak in the cooling system?

Checked the hoses, rad was practically empty, poured some coolant into once cooled down. Fluid can be heard pouring out underneath the engine. unable to locate the leak

the odds are the coolant heater hose broke on the passenger side of the lower intake manifold a very common issue for these engines to loose coolant like that

most shops can pressure test it quick to confirm but that is usually the issue with this type of coolant loss
