Helo!
I have a problem turning on the circuitry then disappearing

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your Pontiac?

Pontiac firebird 5.0l 1989

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Firebird yourself? What have you tried so far?

When the ignition key is switched on, the circuitry then crashes and when it does not stall when the starter does not go away

Mechanic's Assistant: When you turn the key, do you get a single loud click, or a series of rapid ones?

One long sound

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I tried to get started with this spark again

you have in mind that the faulty triggering locks are an electrical contact group?
Pontiac Mechanic: Eric, Automotive Repair Shop Manager replied 7 months ago

HI,

Yes, the ignition switch(not the key cylinder), which connects to the key cylinder, is nothing but contact switches and when they wear over time, you have no start conditions, as well as electrical failures of all other electrical components

I'm happy that I stopped communicating because I wanted to make sure your answer is correct. I'm testing my pontiac, I changed the contact group but nothing changes, the problem is somewhere else?
