Customer Question
Coolant boiling in reservoir...

Coolant boiling in reservoir, no heat. Boils over when it reached half way mark, or normal operating temp.

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked to make sure the thermostat is working? What about the coolant level?

Had to add coolant. Where is the thermostat located. Purchased new one but unsure where it goes. I am 68 year old woman, living on a van, in Canada, in winter. I have tried to download a repair manuall twice, didn't get them and haven't got my money back. I am desperate.

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model of your '68 Pontiac?

2007 SV6

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Had to replace abattery post. Today. Finally found the drain plug and I am going to drain and flush the rad.
