Changed temp sensor .trouble shoot motors , replaced ecm with known good. gauged wiring perimeters, fans run with ac on, im completely lst, asc certified..

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the connectors on the sensor itself? It's important that they not be loose or corroded.

These engines are known for head gasket problems so I suspect that is the issue. I'd start by replacing the thermostat if that hasn't already been done. If that doesn't help next step is a block test which checks for exhaust gas in coolant, if exhaust gas is in coolant this means the head gaskets need to be replaced. um yeah....fans run when the car gets up to temperature when car is first started. when restarted fans wont cycle on and car over heats..new head gaskets, new intake gaskets,good block,ect,ect i need help with the cooling fan circuit only, replaced coolant temp sensor, known good. fans. known good, relays known good ,replaced ecm, tested wiring ,fans run with ac on. any helpful suggestions? what else could it be? im about to change the whole underhood wiring harness .
