I found a slow leak when I noticed a low coolant light come on

Mechanic's Assistant: How old are the hoses? And have you tested the actual mix of your coolant?

Tested the coolant 3 weeks ago and it was fine. Levels were good

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your Pontiac?

2007 Grand Am

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Am yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes, one of the small hoses appears to be leaking (AUMP)

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Topped it up with 500ml water to get it home

Yes definitely leaking. Very low coolant level

Pontiac Mechanic: david craig, ASE Certified Technician replied 11 months ago

ok, if its apparent that its leaking from a hose then replace it. or if you arent sure where its leaking from, do a pressure test to see exactly where its coming from
