Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are quite a few things that will prevent cruise control from working and it will require some testing to determine exactly what is wrong. The problem could be the brake switch, the cruise switch itself, the cruise control module, wiring to any of the components, or there may be another powertrain issue that is causing cruise to be intentionally disabled.

Is a shop trying to diagnose the cruise issue currently?
