Customer Question
What is the ground...

What is the ground wire for the headlight on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am? It only has three wires. two blue and one red or pink. Headlight is dim and replacing the bulb didn't help.

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?

No.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Am yourself? What have you tried so far?

Only thing I have done is replace the headlight bulb. Was told by a mechanic that probably is a problem with the ground however he wasn't familiar with the wiring on the headlight bulb. Yes I am trying to fix it myself due to my mechanic being 60 miles away.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Not that I am aware of.

Hi, my name is ***** ***** body control module controls the ground for the headlights, power is supplied at all times to the lights, then the BCM grounds the appropriate wire to turn them on, so this is not going to be a ground problem, are both headlights dim?
