JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: Charging system failure
JA: What is the model/year of your Pontiac?
Customer: 2004 Grand Prix Gt
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Prix yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I have tried the alternator and battery and fuses
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

What is the battery voltage while running with this warning light on?

I can never tell cause the light a pop on and than the car a shut down

Can you tell me what the voltage on the battery is without the light on?

Once it stalls will it restart easily?

It's start easy but only run for about 10mins and shut off and this is happening every day


The BCM is storing this code because there is a module on the data communication circuit that itself or its wiring is shirted to power or ground causing the engine to stall. We need a diagnostic tool to see which modules are losing communication and storing U codes.
