JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: no ,battery is fine already replaced the filter its got fuel but no fire
JA: What is the model/year of your Pontiac?
Customer: o4 grand am
JA: What year is your Grand Am?
Customer: 2004
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Am yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: the fuel filter , the security passlock code
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: tried to replace the crankshaft sensor but we couldnt get it out

Have you scanned the computer system to see if there are any fault codes setting?

So you have injector pulse and proper fuel pressure but no spark?

the first 1 that read fuel to lean then changed the filter and still no start

after that we tried using the code that resets the passlock but to no avail

Okay in order for the engine to start and run you need good spark at the spark plugs, injector pulse at the injector , proper fuel pressure and good compression. Which one are you lacking?
