Is it parked on an incline with the wheel slightly turned?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
no. It's parked on a flat driveway and the wheels are pretty straight
Expert:  Dan replied 10 months ago.

Try banging on the top of the steering column with your hand, then apply pressure in one direction of the steering wheel with one hand and turning the key at the same time with the other hand.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
that doesn't seem to help
Expert:  Dan replied 10 months ago.

It can sometimes take a few tried, you can take apart the ignition switch and key cylinder. If nothing helps. You have to get at the steering lock and try to release it.
