Have you done the 30 minute relearn on the security system?

no, explain
Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

Here are the steps you have to take to do the relearn.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok. I can try that in a bit. Car had Low engine power warning and had no power. Code P1682 was present. Cleared code and car ran fine, but code came back and car went into low engine power mode. After sitting for a day, it would not start at all. Replaced ignition switch, but still will not start.
Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

See if the relearn will get it started again. Then we can work on the code.

Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

What engine do you have in your car?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK. battery was disconnected after the no start condition happened. I disconnected the battery when I put in the new ignition switch to try and get it started since that code pointed to the ignition switch
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Car has the 2.2
Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

This code is most often set due to a bad relay. You should replace both the run/ crank relay and the pwr/trn relay.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok. I'm heading to the autoparts store right now. Do you know the relay number used, I'd check in the car, but I am not their right now
Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

I am sorry I do not know what parts store you are going to nor the numbers they will go by. Just tell them you need the run crank relay and the power train relay. They will look it up for you.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I understand, I meant are they 2754's
Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.

Auto zones part number for the relays is a 19307.

Did you go from the off position straight to start or did you go to run and wait then go to start?
