2001 pontiac grandam v6, 3.4 liter won,t start, fuel pump does not turn on, car starts and runs bu running a hot wire to the + side of the pump wire at the pump, will continue to run normal if this jumper wire is disconnected; the fp has +and- power after that, until the ign switch shuts off, then I have to repeat if I want the car to run???

have you checked continuity to the wire?
