The wiring harness that runs under rad
Pontiac Mechanic: George H., ASE Certified Technician replied 2 years ago

You neeed to turn the key on for more than ten minutes and keep the battery at 12.4 volts or higher for the whole time.

Try that and let me know what you see the security light doing.

Thanks

Why is that fan going
Pontiac Mechanic: George H., ASE Certified Technician replied 2 years ago

If the computer does not know what the engine temperature is it will set a code and run the cooling fan.

With the harness under the radiator damaged you could have computer damage.

Try the normal reset, ten minutes on with the battery voltage above 12.4 and below 15.7 volts.

If the security light still flashes then there may be other damage.

Let me know how I can help

Thanks

Hello and welcome to JustANswer!

It sounds as if your powertrain control module isn't awake. This could either be due to a failure of the module itself or a loss of power or ground to it. There may be an issue with the wiring repair that was done.

Does the fuel pump run when the key is first turned on?
Does the PCM communicate with a scan tool or code reader?
