Customer Question

i just put a 2.2L salvage yard motor in a 2007 g5. it runs well. just one problem. the coolant temp sits around 180 to 190 while the car is idling. when I test drive it the temp continues to rise. the highest I let it go has been 234. when the temp gets up that high if I let it idle the temp comes back down. I put in a new thermostat but it did not change anything. Both the upper and lower radiator hoses are cool. the heater hoses are pretty warm. the radiator cooling fan comes on. there is no pressure in the radiator hoses.
