Customer: hi, my name is ***** ***** have a 2005 pontiac grand prix and it wont start, all i here is a click when i try to start it i thought it was a relay so i went out and bought one and replaced it but it still wont start

Customer: well i started happening 2 weeks ago when i stopped at the store when i came out the car wouldnt start and then all of a sudden i turned the key and it started same thing happend yesterday, now today it wont start

From the fuse box thats what made me change the relay

OK, yes I am. So this is likely normal clicking but the starter is the issue.
Do you have a test light? If so then it is best to test at the small stud at the starter when the key is in the start position. If there is no power there, then we need to start checking other places such as the starter relay, or the neutral safety switch. If there is power at that stud then you likely need a new starter if the battery and cables to the starter from the battery are good.
