Customer Question

I can't get the front brake rotor off the 2001 Sunfire. I've got the caliper off. The manual says don't need to take the spindle nut off. Used a hammer but still can't get disc rotor off.

these rotors are just slide on to the hubif the caliper is off you need to spray some rust penetrating oil in the center of the rotor and let it work in for a little bit then the rotor needs to struck very hard from the back side in area where the caliper would normally sit with a big hammer until it breaks loosethese rotors get frozen up with a lot of rust and require a lot of rust penetrating oil and a good size hammer to knock them off
