Pontiac Bonneville: Have a stray wire from an Astrostart autostart

Customer Question

Have a stray wire from an Astrostart autostart system onder the hood of a 2001 Bonneville. Mice or squirels chewed some wires including those of the EGR valve wiring harness. Got all the EGR valves wires back together correctly but can't figure out where this light green wire goes. Looks like it may have tapped into the EGR valve wiring ?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
It shouldn't have gone to the EGR valve.
Outside of the siren there are two other wires that will run to the engine compartment. One would be for the hood switch, the switch should be mounted at the core support or inner fender area.
The other wire would go either to the ignition module or a fuel injector, this would be the RPM input to the remote start module.
