Hello and thank you for trusting me with your question. My name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you with your Pontiac problem.
Sounds like the tumblers in the igniton lock cylinder are sticking. Spray some WD40 or silicone spray into the ignition lock and then insert the key. Hit on the end of the key with a mallet, this will often free up the tumblers and allow the key to turn. If you cannot get the lock to free up and turn then the ignition lock cylinder will need to be drilled out and replaced.
