Pontiac: 2001 grand Am - put in new battery. Started right

Customer Question

2001 grand Am - put in new battery. Started right up. Drove to work. Started right up when I left work. Filled up with gas. 2 miles into my drive home, all panel lights came on, gasoline gauge dropped to E. continued 2 more miles to home, pulled into driveway, car died. Will start if jumped, but all panel lights come on, then will die as soon as jumper cables are removed
