Resolved Question:

96 pontiac grand am no heat new water pump new thermostat new heater core steel no heat when driving at hi sppeds very low heat at idel vehicle does not over heat coolant fan comes on at 226 f. normal and turns off normal?

hi, are both the heater hoses getting hot?they should be both close to the same temperature around 190 -210 degrees,if they are then you need to look at the temperature door and see if the actuator is opening the door or closing the door ,the door is in the pic # XXXXX ,see if that is getting vacuum to it when you change the temp.or is moving ....guy...





also check the heater control cable

hello this carlos again well tank you for the advise but the problem is when you go down the road then there is no heat check hose temp is the same after worms up

you said that you have no heat driving and little heat at idle ,so you need to check the things I posted ,as there is a problem with heat delivery in the heater box ,can you tell me the temp of both the hoses ...guy...

ok, try this leave the cap off and run it until the fan comes on then shut it off and wait 10 minutes,repeat this a few times ,there could be an air pocket in the cooling system to the heater core and this will let the coolant flow ,as the system cools and heats up ...guy..
