Could you explain your situation a little more?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.

Door won't shut completely. Like the latch is blocking for the door to shut.

What do you drive?

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 door

This will require taking the door panel off and removing the linkage to the latch, removing the electrical connectors and taking the 3 bolts out from the body. I would first make sure the linkage is not bound up and holding the latch open. Below is a picture of the latch.

Can I just flip it back with a screww driver and it will be okay?
Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 8 years ago.

If the latch has been tripped, then I would try to hold the door handle open and pull it back. If that works, I would trip it with a screw driver a few more times to make sure it works before you close the door.
