Customer Question

My pilot light has gone out and the plumber (by phone) tells me that it doesn't have a pilot light. The water is just warm enough for me to have a reasonable shower but I KNOW that there is a pilot light. This is his second visit
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: 2-3 months and winter is here!
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: No thanks! But I would like to know about the valves that I can off and on. Are they the two"tap" thingies on the external pipes? I'm happy to turn them off and on!
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Don't think so.
