Customer Question

Please do not respond, I have figured this out.

We have a Whirlpool water softner WHES40 LL40. Two of the buttons went out on the control board and I found a replacement that looked identical from the front, owner said it was from a Kenmore but would work on a Whirlpool, but they did not know the Kenmore model. Since a new board was over $100 and this only cost $15 I took a chance.

It seems to be the same except the motor output was 24vAC instead of 24v DC. Using a bridge rectifier I converted to DC, but the motor ran backwards and caused part of the position sensor to break off. The only way I can figure out how to re-attach part to switch causes interference when cam closes switch.

I will attach picture

1. Can you show me a diagram of how this part is oriented on the switch?

2. Is the cam supposted to turn clockwise or counter-clockwise?
