Customer Question

I have a whirlpool hot water heater about 4 yrs old with the sealed compartment and the pilot wont light. I checked to make sure I got gas and I have gas getting to the water heater but the pilot won;t light. I can get the little light to start flashing but it only stays flashing for 3o sec then goes out again. Because it is still sealed I cant see if it is trying to light or not. I cant get any Idea what is wrong with it.

If the LED is blinking the pilot is lit. Does the LED blink after you release the button you have to hold down to light it? What is the model number of your unit?
