I have a contractor trying to fire my unit for the first time. Says vacuum switch keeps the unit from staying on. When he bypasses the switch it works perfectly but when he reinstall it kicks off. he tested the switch and that is working as well
It is a high efficiency Air Temp Hot air system, run off propane.

is this a furnace with a plastic vent pipe to outside? and is there a second pipe?

the unit has one pipe that blows air out (exhaust) and another that sucks air in..has the pipe that sucks air in been removed from furnace and then try to start?

also..remove the small rubber tube from the pressure the fitting on the furnace side..poke a nail or paperclip all the way through...also make sure no water left in furnace...a shop vac works well for that

I remove the small tube and actuated the The switch by sucking in on the tube a little bit it worked fine I've checked and the tube and they wok fine too ...
