Ok, this is usually a sign that your pressure tank has failed. The tank provides a "cushion" so the switch/pump doesn't short cycle (what you're describing). If this is a modern diaphragm type tank (not an ancient galvanized tank) the fix is to replace the tank. You can check this by rapping the tank with the handle of a screw driver. If you get a dull thud all the way to the top then the tank has failed and your need a new one. Another way to check is to push in the pin on the air valve at the top of the tank. If water comes out the tank is junk.
