I accidentally crushed the drain pipe (rotted) under bathroom

Customer Question

I accidentally crushed the drain pipe (rotted) under bathroom sink. I shut off the water knobs under there, but the drain pipe is still leaking fast! Why? How do I stop it without shutting of the main water? I need to make it until tomorrow before a plumber can get here. I don't understand why so much water is coming out of the drain pipe!!

There may be another fixture such as another sink connected to the drain pipe. Unfortunately, it may be best to shut off the main, or at least continue to shut off water around the sink area until it slows down and stops for you..
