Code is vac. A. C

Well that's a new one. White Rodgers is an Emerson subsidiary and the valves until now (apparently) have always been labeled WR. Here is a link to the service bulletin on how to reset this valve. For your purposes (at least initially) you can ignore the beginning and go right to the reset procedure at the bottom of the pagehttp://www.rheem.com/docs/FetchDocument.aspx?ID=5ec1159a-5c5e-434b-98b2-99611ab63f08

No result... Wiring is not like this picture, no 5 pin plug, 3 and 2
Plumber: Rick, Construction Supervisor replied 3 years ago
The reset procedure is the same even if they modified the molex connector. If it won't reset it's likely sensor needs to be replaced. You need to check the resistance across the sensor leads. If they don't fall in the range indicated you'll have to replace it

Looking for multimeter now.. Does it take long after the source of vapors is removed?
Plumber: Rick, Construction Supervisor replied 3 years ago
I can't tell you how long it takes, too many variables. But you can be sure if it falls outside that range tomorrow then you need a new sensor

You can't get parts until tomorrow anyway
