Central water filtration system: Model # ***** installed

Customer Question

central water filtration system: Model # *****
We installed this system Nov 2004. Have been very satisfied with it, but now have a problem. Our water source is a well, with very strong sulfur. From the well, it is treated with chlorine, then the filtration system, then a softner.
Our problem now is that we are getting strong sulfur smell and taste in the water. We have emptied the chlorine tank and refreshed it with new chlorine, and have manually cleaned the filtration system 3-4 times. It seemed a little better for a few hours, but is now back to a strong smell and taste. The smell and taste are worse in the morning, after sitting all night without running water. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Your only cure is either a charcoaled filter or a reverse osmosis filter. The later being the better bet.
