My toilet takes a long time (two to three mins.) to fill after

Resolved Question:

My toilet takes a long time (two to three mins.) to fill after flushing. It does not have a float ball. Any ideas for a novice plumber? Thanks XXXXX

How many gallon flush is the toilet?

How do you tell? This is an older model Plebe by Standard.

It's probably a 3.5 gallon flush, check the angle stop valve at the wall to make sure it is completely opened...and look inside the tank during a flush cycle to make sure the flapper closes after a flush...If this information was helpful, please Accept and leave a positive feedback...Thanks Ken

We are still at slightly over two minutes. I added two cans of tomatoes to bring the tank water level up as I do not have a brick but this seems not to have helped. Maybe it's just the way it will be.

As long as your flapper works and your fill tube is in the overfill tube and everthing is working as it should...then yes it probably is all good...if you have found the information helpful please accept and leave a positive feedback...thanks for using JA , Ken
