I installed a new sump pump alternator switch for a dual sump

Customer Question

I installed a new sump pump alternator switch for a dual sump pump system in my basement. The pump have two cords coming from them, one plugs into the back of the other and then both into an outlet on the switch. When both are plugged in and the float activated the switch goes into alarm. When only one plug from each pump are plugged in, whichever pump is active on the switch runs continuously.
