VerifiedPlastic Surgeon : Thank you for your question. Normal healing time is 6-12 months. The left breast is further along in the healing process than is your right breast. You should see your surgeon again but it is too soon to suggest any further surgery. You will still have changes in your right breast because of the delayed healing that you experienced. Please be patient. If you have surgery too soon on your right breast, you may have a worse result. There are some things that you can do in the meantime. One is to massage the scars to help them soften sooner. Some of the distortion of the right breast is probably due to scarring and this will improve with time.

Plastic Surgeon : You do not have to wait for four to five years. You should wait another 3 months and then be examined by your doctor again. You should see some improvement. A surgical revision can be performed when the breast has softened.
Plastic Surgeon : It is safe to do a revision at 12-18 months after the initial surgery

You didn't answer my question. My question was "If I go back to the plastic surgeon who did the original breast reduction, how much will be covered as a correction?" Is a correction paid for by the doctor, the patient, or the patient's insurance? And who would pay for the anesthesiologist and associated operating room costs?
