It is also alright for you to have raised your arms while you are sleeping as long as you did not experience any pain. You should be sleeping on your back. You probably have not caused any problems with what you have done while sleeping. Reaching your hands above your head can be irritating to the muscle of the chest. As long as you have no change in the size of the breasts, you have caused no harm.

how can i avoid capsular contraction?
Plastic Surgeon : You should follow instructions closely from your doctor. He should instruct you on massage when you are ready. This will help keep the pocket open and help prevent capsular contracture. He may fit you with a bra when it is appropriate. Also, no exercise until you are at least 6 weeks after surgery. Be careful

Plastic Surgeon : The bandage does not protect you from capsular contracture. The bandage protects the surgical area and restricts you from activity. Capsular contracture
Plastic Surgeon : Capsular contracture is slow in developing. It can take months to develop. That is why you should follow all your instructions and keep all of your appointments.

Plastic Surgeon : At the time of surgery a space or pocket is created that is a little larger than the implant. It is not stuck to anything. You want it to move like a normal breast. The massage you will do helps to keep the space open and the massage helps decrease scar formation.
