Protruding tailbone. How rare is this? It has always been

Customer Question

Protruding tailbone.
How rare is this?
It has always been very uncomfortable to lay on my back on a hard surface (as all of the weight ends up on my tailbone) and I honestly think it's very unattractive and looks abnormal.
For instance, most people have a 'bump' at their 'crack' so to speak, but I do.
Is this something you have to live with forever, or are there ways to fix get it or are there ways to get it looking normal again?
Any experience with this?

Plastic Surgeon : A protruding tailbone (coccyx) is not a common complaint. If, indeed, you have this anatomical problem, you need to consult a board certified orthopedic surgeon in your area. This is usually not in the field of plastic surgery. The surgery involves bone removal to make this area less prominent. Thank you for your question.
