Hi again,

To turn OFF the "Voicemail msg. via phone co." Indicator on MOST Panasonic phone systems, you can press and HOLD the # (pound) key - until the unit "beeps". The New Voice Mail message should go away - but MAY come back on.

When the "Voicemail msg. via phone co." appears - it is typically because the phone service provider's "Voicemail system" is picking up calls - instead of any home Answering System. To correct this, you MAY want to contact your phone service provider's support group and have them turn OFF their voicemail service. Once done, then the home Answering System will be able to take the calls again.

Another note: The handset "name" may also be replaced with OTHER messages - such as "Missed Call" - when a call comes in but is not picked up.

This is "normal" and the handset name SHOULD appear again - once the condition that caused the other message is dealt with (looking at the missed calls, checking your voicemail, etc.).
