VerifiedHi - this is Expert Russell H. I hope that I may help with this question, about your phone's remote access.
If you pressed '0' while on that call, that is under some conditions, the command to remotely turn Off the answering machine function of your Panasonic phone.
If it is Off, then dial your number for that phone, then wait until the long beep, then enter your remote access code, to turn the answering machine On again.
If you have set no remote access code, then as Expert Nathan said previously, the '111' might do it, or perhaps '1111' (four digits!) if your model, whatever it is, has a four-digit not a three-digit remote access code. All ones is the default code value, you see!
I hope that this helps. If it doesn't, I regret to say, it may have to be fixed in-person. (It might help if you could determine by any means, what the model # of your Panasonic phone is, also.)
