Does ring loud enough message light does work, 1-2 weeks…

OK - let's START with the Ringer volume.

Is that the ring from the MAIN BASE that is NOT loud enough - OR - the cordless handset that is sitting on the main base?

I only ask because they have different ringers for each unit.

OK - I'm a bit confused, as you mentioned:

and then you say:

EITHER PHONE RINGS ARE LOUD

So can you let me know what the ISSUE is with the system and

if there is any issue with the ringer(s) that are heard?

OK - so we can TRY to either

1) check or change the VOLUME of the ringer or

2) check or change the TONE (sound) of the ringer (for the cordless handset(s)).

If you want to adjust the ringer volume of EACH handset, I have the steps to do that below.
While the system is not in use (not on a call)
1) Pick up the handset you want to adjust (program)
2) Press MENU, followed by # 1 6 0 (pound-one-six-zero). This brings up the Ringer volume section of programming).
3) Press the UP/DOWN arrows on the handset, to adjust the ringer volume level.
4) Press the SAVE soft key (to save the setting).
5) Press the OFF button (to exit programming).

NOTES:
- This should be done on EACH handset that you want to adjust the ringer volume for.

Can you give me DETAILS - about how it does not work?

For example, do you get stuck on a particular step of the process?

Also, did you WATCH the video I linked to - to see how the process SHOULD work?

OK - its sounds like the ringer volume is now set to an acceptable level - is that correct?

If so, then we can move on to the "light for messages".

OK - I have attached an IMAGE of the MAIN BASE for this system, with labels for each of the controls or indicators. Item 6 is the PLAY/Message indicator.

Is that the indicator (light) that you are referring to?

And if so, is that indicator (light) ON or OFF or Flashing?

OK - that may actually be "normal" - if there are no new message stored in the built-in Answering system of the Panasonic main base.

Can you tell me what the indicator(s) on the TOP of the CORDLESS HANDSETS are doing (ON, OFF, Flashing, etc.)?

OK - the handset indicators actually have MULTIPLE functions.

They are:

Charge indicator (ON while charging)

Ringer indicator (Flashes when a call comes in)

Message indicator (SLOWLY flashes when a new message is available).

So can you tell me if ANY of these functions are happening - for each of these events?

OK - may I ask:

Do you have access to an OUTSIDE phone - such as a cell phone - that YOU can use to place TEST CALLS to the landline number?

The idea is to place a TEST CALL to the landline number and LEAVE A TEST MESSAGE - so we can see what ALL of the indicators do - when a message is left on the system (and NOT listened to).

OK - do you have a friend that you can have CALL YOU - from their phone - and leave a TEST MESSAGE?

Again, this is so we can see what ALL of the indicators do - when a message is left on the system (and NOT listened to).

By the way - the indicator usually will ONLY come on for NEW messages - and not for old messages that are stored in the system.
