I bought a panasonic phone kx-tge474s from amazon, and received a kx-tge470 (silver). What is the difference. I think that the call blocking feature is not on my handsets

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your KX-TGE474S? What have you tried so far?

I receive it yesterday. Works fine, except that the instruction book shows that the "noise reduction" button (lower right) should be used for the call blocking feature. That doesn't make a lot of sense. I've not tried to block calls with it, however.

There is no difference at all.

The 470 is just the model number of main base station,

474 simply means it is a package/bundle, that comes with the 470 base and 4 cordless handsets.

All the same features and functions.

OK, so are you saying that my phone does have call blocking, via pushing the "noise reduction" button

Correct,

you can block manually from within the caller list,

but the "call block" button is really active only if you use it to block an incoming call, while it is ringing.
