I have a Panosonic...

I have a Panosonic landline set with a phonebook in which I can save phone numbers and matching names. Recently I was making calls and when I went to the phonebook, it suddenly said "0 items stored". Is there anyway to restore my lost phonebook?

I'm not sure. On the control piece it says "Panasonic 6.0" along with some other things.

This happened about a week ago. I haven't really tried anything.

What is the model number of the panasonic system?
It is on the main base and starts with kx-tg

and if you check another handset (if you have more than one) is the phoenbook there empty also?

All the handsets say "0 items stored"

that does indicate that the memory was cleared, which was likely due to a power surge or other power event.

There is one thing you may attempt to restore the system:
1) unplug both power and phone lines from the main base.
2) remove batteries from all handsets
3) wait at least 15 minutes, then restore all
4) place a handset on the main base for a minute, as if to charge
5) check for functionality, and let me know the results, please.

If no change, then the memory was fully cleared and it is not possible to restore it.
Even if the entries are restored or reprogrammed, if the internal memory is damaged it will likely be cleared again.

Because this is an older (2009) system which is about double its service life at this point, it wouldn't be worth repairing. You'd be best off replacing the entire system , and the new models can actually link up with your cell phone via bluetooth and copy its phonebook to save you from having to manually enter them all. I can recommend replacement options for you if you'd like.

the handsets are taking forever to charge. This is very unusual. Usually they charge in less than 5 minutes. Also, I don't see a place on the base to access the phonebook.

Finally, the handsets are charged enough to use. They all say the same thing as before "0 items stored". Since I did not get a satisfactory result from our discussion, I would like my $5 refunded.
